The full form of CABG is Coronary Artery Bypass Graft. it is a surgery for treatment of coronary heart disease in coronary heart disease blood cannot flow to heart muscle properly due to blockage in the heart. CABG surgery performed to clear the blockage in the heart and improve the blood flow. it reduces the chances of a heart attack.
Reason of Coronary heart disease
coronary heart disease develops when blood vessels are not able to supply blood, oxygen and other nutrients to heart, because of cholesterol deposits in arteries.
plaques build-up ( a waxy substance) in the arteries, which may harden and narrow the coronary arteries. which results in decreased blood flow.
