The full form of CAT is the Common Admission Test. It is a computer-based competitive exam conducted by the Indian Institute of management to provide admission for the management programs. This test is conducted by one of the IIMs every year in the month of November-December by online mode. Every year approximately 2 lakhs candidates appear in the CAT exam.
CAT exam score is valid for IIMs and Non- IIMs college of India for that year only. IIM admission process includes CAT score, Written Ability Test, Group Discussion, Personal Interview, work experience, etc.
CAT test includes quantitative ability, Data interpretation, Verbal Ability, and Logical reasoning, Reading comprehension in English and Analytical reasoning.

Eligibility for CAT
Candidate must be graduate with minimum 50% marks from any recognized university.
Candidate appearing for the final year of bachelor's degree or awaiting results are also eligible to apply for the CAT exam.
