The full form of DNB is Diplomate of National Board. DNB is a title awarded by the National Board of Examinations (NBE), it is an autonomous organization established in 1975 under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India.
DNB title awarded to the candidate who successfully completes the postgraduate or postdoctoral medical program under the National Board of Examinations (NBE).
DNB qualification is equivalent to postgraduate and postdoctoral qualifications awarded by other Indian universities.
Objective
To improve the medical education system by developing high and constant standards of postgraduate examinations in modern medicine and allied sciences on all India basis.
