The full form of CPT is Common Proficiency Test.CPT is the entrance level Chartered Accountancy test conducted by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India(ICAI)twice a year.According to ICAI, it is changed as a CA foundation.
CPT test generally conducted in the month of June& December. it is an offline mode test.Eligibility
Candidate must be 10th passed for registering himself with the Institute of Charted Accountant of India.
For appearing in CPT, examination Candidate must be 12th passed from a recognized board.
Candidates must have a Bachelor's or Master's degree with at least 60% marks in Commerce stream.CPT Qualifying Criteria
For qualifying, the CPT exam candidate must be obtained a minimum of 30% marks in each subject, with a total of 50%aggregate in each subject.
A candidate who obtained 70% marks in CPT examination will be declared as “Pass with Distinction”.Course and Examination Fee
The course fee of CA CPT is 6000rupess and the Application fee is 600rupess.Subjects in CA CPT course
General Economics, Merchant Law,Fundamental of Accountancy,and Quantitative Aptitude.
