The full form of BAMS is Bachelor of ayurvedic medicine and surgery. It is a professional degree program in the field of Ayurvedic Medicine and surgery, In BAMS course, students have to study about 'Ashtanga Ayurveda' along with scientific advances in modern medicine.
Duration of Course
BAMS course duration in India is 5 years, including 1 year mandatory internship .
Eligibility Criteria for Admission
The minimum criteria to take admission into this course is to finish the 12th class with the science stream. The minimum percentage required for BAMS is 60%. However, the percentage criteria also depend upon the college.
The Candidates required to qualify national or state level Medical entrance examination to urge admission within the respective medical colleges.
