What is the full form of BDS?

The full form of BDS is Bachelor of Dental Surgery. It is a professional degree course in the field of dentistry in which students have to study about teeth, gums, mouth, disease and procedures related to dental. After completing BDS degree students become specialists in dental surgery.
Course Duration
BDS course duration in India is 5 years, including 1 year mandatory internship in Hospital.
Eligibility
The minimum criteria require admission to this course
is to finish the 12th class with science stream( Physics, Chemistry, and Biology)
The minimum percentage required for BDS admission is 50% to 60%.
The Candidates need to qualify medical entrance test called
as NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) to take
admission in BDS course.
