The full form of SCB is Standard Chartered PLC. SCB is a British multinational banking and financial services organization. It is founded on 18 November 1969 and headquartered in London, England. It operates more than 1200 branches, subsidiaries, associate and joint ventures across more than 70 countries. It has around 87000 employees. SCB is a universal bank with individual, business and institutional finance, and treasury services activities. It does not operate retail banking in the UK almost 90% of its profits come from Asia, Africa and the Middle East.
Standard Chartered has a primary listing on London Stock Exchange(LSE) and part of the FTSE 100 Index. Standard chartered has secondary listings on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, the National Stock Exchange of India, and OTC Markets Group Pink. Government of Singapore is the largest shareholder of SC.
The name Standard chartered comes to form The Chartered Bank of India, Australia and China, and Standard Bank of British South Africa, the two banks where it was created by converging in 1969.
