The full form of AAI is Airport Authority of India. It was founded on 1st April 1995,
Headquarter of AAI is situated at Rajeev Gandhi Bhawan Safdarjung airport New Delhi.
It works under the Ministry of Civil Aviation, Government of India is responsible for creating, maintaining and upgrading the civil aviation infrastructure in India.
AAI provide services for Air traffic management and communication navigation to Indian airspace and adjoining oceanic areas.
AAI Handle 126 airports which include 11 international airports, 11 custom airports, 89 domestic airports and 26 civil airports.
AAI has Five Training center in India
1. The Civil Aviation Training College (CATC) at Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh
2. Hyderabad Training Center at Hyderabad (HTC)
3. National Institute of Aviation Training and Management (NIATAM) at Gondia, Maharashtra.
4. Indian Aviation Academy [2] (National Institute of Aviation Management and Research (NIAMAR) New Delhi
5. Fire Training Centers (FTC) at Delhi & Kolkata
