	3 − √8		(3 − √8)(3 + √8)

(Rationalising the denominator)

=	3 + √8	= 3 + √8
	9 − 8

∴ Expression
= 3 + √8 + 3 + √8 − 6 − 4√2
= 6 + 2√8 − 6 − 4√2 = 2√8 − 4√2
= 2 × 2√2 − 4√2 = 0
