  1. If x, y and z are real numbers such that (x– 3)2 + (y – 4)2 + (z – 5)2 = 0 then (x + y + z) is equal to
    1. –12
    2. 0
    3. 8
    4. 12
Correct Option: D

(x – 3)2 + (y – 4)2 + (z – 5)2 = 0
⇒  x – 3 = 0, y – 4 = 0 and z – 5 = 0
⇒  x = 3, y = 4 and z = 5
∴  x + y + z = 3 + 4 + 5 = 12
