  1. A, B and C enter into a partnership, investing Rs. 6000. A invests Rs. 1000 and B and C invests in the ratio of 2 : 3. Find the profit of C, when the annual profit is Rs. 2400.
    1. Rs. 600
    2. Rs.1200
    3. Rs.1800
    4. Rs.1950
Correct Option: B

Given that , Total investment by A , B and C = Rs. 6000
Investment by A = Rs. 1000
Ratio of investment of B and C = 2 : 3
Total investment by B and C = 6000 - 1000 = Rs. 5000

∴ B’s investment = Rs.2× 5000 = Rs. 2000
5

C’s investment = Rs.3 × 5000 = Rs. 3000
5

Ratio of the equivalent capitals of A, B and C for 1 month = 1000 : 2000 : 3000 = 1 : 2 : 3
Sum of the terms of ratio = 1 + 2 + 3 = 6
∴ C’s share = Rs. 3 × 2400 = Rs. 1200
