For the circuit shown below the input voltage V_i is as shown in fig. Assume the RC time constant large and cutin voltage V_r = 0. The output voltage V₀ is:

Correct Option: A

For input ν_i ≤ 5 V diode
will conduct and capacitor will charge to V_c – 5 – 20 ÷ V_c = 25 volt
and V_o = + 5 V.
However if Vi ≥ 5 V the diode will not conduct
and V₀max = V_c + V_i = 25 + 10 = 35 V.
Hence alternative (A) is the correct choice.
