Direction: In each question below is given a statement followed by two assumption numbered I and II. An assumption is something supposed or taken for granted. You have to consider the statement and the following assumption and decide which of the assumption is implicit in the statement.

  1. Statement:
The parents of students are demonstrating at Legislative Council to protest against fee hike revision by the capital's educational institutions.
    Assumptions:
    I. The parents are unable to afford increased fee.
II. In view of large-scale protestation Legislative Council may direct the capital's educational institutions to stop the fee hike.
    1. if only assumption I is implicit.
    2. if only assumption II is implicit.
    3. if either I or II is implicit.
    4. if neither I nor II is implicit.
    5. if both I and II are implicit.
Correct Option: B

Even able parents may be not willing to pay the increased fee. Hence I can't be assumed. Why are they demonstrating in front of Legislative Council? Clearly, they are assuming II. Hence II is implicit.
