Single equivalent discount for two successive discounts

=		x + y −	xy		%
			100

=		25	+ 10 −	25 × 10		%

= ( 12.5 + 10 – 1.25 )%
= 21.25 %
If the marked price of the plate be ₹ M, then
= (100 – 21.25 ) % of M = 6300

⇒ M ×	78.75	= 6300

⇒ M =	6300 × 100	= ₹ 8000

D₁ = 25/2 %, D₂ = 10%
