A, B and C undertake to complete a piece of work for ₹ 2574. A works for 8 days, B for 9 days and C for 12 days to complete the work. If their daily wages are in the ratio of 3 : 5 : 4, what does C get?

Given in the question ,

| B can complete work in 1 day = | 1 | 9 |
| And C can complete work in 1 day = | 1 | 12 |
Ratio of daily wages of A , B and C = 3 : 5 : 4
Now A for 8 days, B for 9 days and C for 12 days of wages = 3 x 8 : 5 x 9 : 4 x 12 = 24 : 45 : 48
wages of A , B and C = 8 : 15 : 16
We have total wages = 8k + 15k + 16k = 2574
⇒ 39k = 2574 ⇒ k = 2574/39 = 66
∴ Share of C = 16k = 16 x 66 = ₹ 1056
