Given equation is : y +	1	=	10	,

where y =	x + 4
	x - 4

∴ 3y² - 10y + 3 = 0

⇒ y = 3,	1

∴ y =	x + 4	= 3 or, y =	x + 4	=	1
	x - 4		x - 4		3

3x + 12 = x - 4 or, x + 4 = 3x - 12
⇒ x = - 8 or, x = 8
Hence , the roots of equation are - 8 and 8 .
