Direction: Study the following table and answer the questions.
Number of students from various schools playing various games.
One student plays one game only.

  1. The difference between the total number of students playing Basketball from all the school and the total number of students playing Cricket from all the schools is :
    1. 27
    2. 35
    3. 28
    4. 26
Correct Option: B

As per given table, we can see that,
Number of students playing Basketball from all the given school
A = 200 , B = 195 , C = 245 , D = 200 , E = 225
Number of students playing Cricket from all the given school
A = 150 , B = 200 , C = 250 , D = 230 , E = 200
The total number of students playing Basketball from all the school = 200 + 195 + 245 + 200 + 225 = 1065
The total number of students playing Cricket from all the school = 150 + 200 + 250 + 230 + 200 = 1030
Required difference = The total number of students playing Basketball from all the school - The total number of students playing Cricket from all the school
Required difference = 1065 − 1030 = 35
