Two numbers X and Y are respectively 30% and 35% less than a third number Z . By what percentage is the number Y less than that of the number X ?

Let Z = 100, X = 100 - 30 = 70
Y = 100 - 35 = 65
∴ Y is less by X = (70 - 65)/70 x 100%
= 5/70 x 100% = 7¹/₇ %
